Bolt has threads most of the way down and the 

extra length can be cut off after the nut has been tightened

  

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

These Bolts are NOT hardened and they must be tightened with care or they will strip or break

Use a C-clamp and tighten them only until they are snug and the leaves are pulled together
