This item works to replace all of your old 30 pin cables, so don't toss em away, get an adapter!  This will work for any Apple device that supports the lightning adapter, the additional audio plug allows old 30 pin docks to function as normal back when iPods were still popular!  So you can revamp your old iPod docks too!

Please note that this item does not work with select Bose speaker docks.
