To celebrate the 40th Anniversary, Music Man offers the Smoothie- an exact recreation of the original Stingray prototype.
The gorgeous alder body follows the classic contours while providing a balanced natural tone.
The iconic Music Man pickguard is white and beautifully contrasts against the Chocolate Burst finish,
And the chrome control plate and hardened steel bridge with stainless steel saddles with mute pads are classic touches.
Sitting amidst the guard is the massive Music Man 'Smoothie' humbucker with oversized pole pieces.
This pickup has poles on either side of each string. What this does is rounds the 'edges' on the attack slightly, creating a big, round, smooth, tone.
