Docking improves the health and welfare of sheep and  lambs. It prevents fecal matter from accumulating on the tail and hindquarters  of the animal. Research has shown that tail docking greatly reduces fly strike  (wool maggots), while having no ill effect on lamb mortality or production.

Elastrator is also used to castrate animals. The rubber ring is applied around  the neck of scrotum. Testicles drop off in 10 days or so. Please only do so with the advice of a professional.

Elastrator work as a band setting tools, to put rubber to  the desired location. Medical Tools elastrators are manufactured under strict  quality control and exercise their functions effectively

Instructions

1. Make sure the ring is placed on all four prongs of elastrator and  positioned over non-slip grooves.
2. Expand the ring fully by squeezing the handles of elastrator together.
3. Pull purse through ring opening until ring is positioned at the base of  purse, but not enclosing teats or skin.
4. With both testicles in the purse, release pressure on the elastrator  completely.
5. Slide hands up near the prongs, and with downward motion, release the  elastrator.
6. Check both testicles are below the ring.
7. No dressing is normally required, however if flies are anticipated, a  repellent can be used.
8. When tail docking, ensure ring is placed between the vertebrae.

Warning:
Avoid use with petroleum based products.
