Capture once-in-a-lifetime moments, faithfully and beautifully

The world is full of wonders, like the beautiful, breathtaking scenes and exciting, delightful moments you come across. The Pentax KP Wi-Fi Digital SLR Camera captures these once-in-a-lifetime moments, faithfully and beautifully. Its compact body is packed with state-of-the-art technologies including a high-performance optical viewfinder. It is also extremely resistant to environmental factors: rain, snow and freezing temperatures. Most of all, it boasts overwhelming image power, supported by approximately 24.3 effective megapixels.

The PENTAX KP couples a new-generation CMOS image sensor with the PRIME IV imaging engine and an accelerator unit to expand the upper limit of the sensitivity range without generating annoying noise. With a top sensitivity of ISO 819200, it assures super-high-sensitivity photography to deliver high-resolution, rich-gradation images with faithful reproduction of the subject's texture and a sense of depth, even at higher sensitivities. It also produces high-quality images across the entire sensitivity range, from the lowest to the highest. The PENTAX KP features the SR II (Shake Reduction II), whose five-axis mechanism assures effective compensation for camera shake caused by pitch and yaw, horizontal and vertical shift, and roll, by as much as five shutter steps. It also lets you exchange the grip to accommodate a particular lens or suit your preference of holding comfort or shooting style.

Key Features:

High-Resolution Images Captured at the Highest Sensitivity:
The PENTAX KP couples a new-generation CMOS image sensor with the PRIME IV imaging engine and an accelerator unit to greatly expand the upper limit of its sensitivity range without generating annoying noise. With a top sensitivity of ISO 819200 (standard output sensitivity), it assures super-high-sensitivity photography to deliver high-resolution, rich-gradation images with remarkable reproduction of the subject's texture and a true-to-life sense of depth, even at higher sensitivities. It also produces high-quality images across its entire sensitivity range -- from the lowest to the highest.

ISO 800 ISO 204800

PRIME IV and Accelerator Unit:
By coupling the PRIME IV imaging engine with the exceptional data processing performance of its accelerator unit, the PENTAX KP achieves high-level noise reduction to realize flawless, high-speed operation as well as super-high-sensitivity, high-resolution imaging.

Approximately 24.32 Effective Megapixels and Optical AA-Filter-Free Design:
The PENTAX KP incorporates a new-generation, APS-C-size CMOS image sensor with approximately 24.32 effective megapixels to produce high-resolution images. It also features an optical design free of the optical AA (anti-aliasing) filter to optimize the image sensor's outstanding imaging power. The result is sharp, fine-detailed images with a truthful sense of depth. By processing image data at a high readout speed of 14bit, it produces beautiful, rich-gradation images.

Pixel Shift Resolution System:
Driven by the camera's in-body SR (Shake-Reduction) mechanism, this innovative system captures four images of the same scene by shifting the image sensor by a single pixel for each image, then synthesizing them into a single composite image. Because it obtains all the color data in each pixel to compose the image, it delivers super-high-resolution images which are far more truthful than those captured by normal shooting processes. It assures true-to-life color reproduction without false colors, while effectively reducing annoying noise. When the Motion Correction function is activated, it automatically detects the amount of the subject's movement during exposure, and minimizes negative effects during the synthesizing process.

AA-Filter Simulator:
With the help of the SR mechanism, this simulator applies microscopic vibrations to the image sensor unit during exposure to reduce adverse effects such as moiré and false colors to the same level as an optical AA filter. It lets you choose the desired visual effect based on your subject -- between the filtering power of the AA simulator and the higher-resolving power of an AA-filter-free design.

Direct-Access Setting Change:
The AA-filter simulator is assigned to the Function dial as a default setting of the Smart Function. A single twist of the dial lets you quickly activate the simulator and select the desired simulator setting.

Available Simulator Settings:

  • Type 1: To maintain a good balance between image resolution and moiré reduction.
  • Type 2: To place priority on moiré reduction.
  • Two-image bracketing: To capture two images continuously in the order of OFF and Type 2.
  • Three-image bracketing: To capture three images continuously in the order of OFF, Type 1 and Type 2.

Fine Sharpness and Extra Sharpness:
When enlarged to a certain size, a captured image can appear as a low-resolution image because the camera's sharpness-control process outlines the subject with thick lines. To solve this problem, the PENTAX KP provides a pair of sharpness-enhancing tools, in addition to normal sharpness processing. The Fine Sharpness function outlines the subject with thinner, more natural lines than those created by normal processing to produce sharp, fine-detailed images. The Extra Sharpness function emphasizes the subject's outline more prominently with much finer lines to capture high-quality, fine-textured images.

Lens Correction:
The PENTAX KP provides a host of lens correction functions to effectively compensate for distortion, vignetting at the edges, and lateral chromatic aberration caused by specific lens properties. It also minimizes the drop in resolving power caused by diffraction when shooting at closed-down apertures. Based on the data obtained, it provides exposure compensation of up to approximately two aperture stops, making it useful for applications such as scenic photography, where you must increase the depth of field without worrying about the effect of diffraction.

High-Precision AE/AF Operation at -3EV Illumination:
Shooting in moonlight or candlelight confuses ordinary autofocus systems, while making manual focusing very difficult. Even with low-contrast subjects positioned under dim light, however, the PENTAX KP's advanced auto-exposure, autofocus system captures the subject in sharp focus and optimum exposure. Coupled with its super-high sensitivity of ISO 819200, it lets you capture well-defined, sharply focused images of low-lit scenes (at an illumination level of -3EV), without resorting to manual operation.

Compact, Slim Design:
PENTAX has devoted much of its effort to the downsizing of the camera body. By optimizing the design of internal components and mechanisms, it has succeeded in packaging exceptional imaging power, supported by original technologies and a host of advanced functions, in the PENTAX KP's compact, slim body. It assures casual, carefree shooting not only during daily outings, but also on trips and outdoor activities.

Extra-Durable, High-Rigidity Body:
The PENTAX KP's exterior casing is made of highly rigid, lightweight magnesium alloy with remarkable durability and outstanding electromagnetic-shielding performance. Coupled with a high-rigidity, corrosion-resistant metallic chassis, it forms an extremely durable, dependable body structure.

Dustproof, Weather-Resistant Construction:
To prevent the intrusion of water and dust into the interior, the PENTAX KP features 67 sealing parts, applied to the control buttons and dials, covers and exterior joints. By mounting an AW- or WR-series lens and the optional, weather-resistant D-BG7 battery grip, they form a highly airtight digital imaging system that assures dependable performance even under unfavorable weather conditions.

Excellent Cold-Resistant Performance at 14°F (-10°C):
Anticipating use in the bitter-cold winter or high-latitude, low-temperature locations, PENTAX has subjected the PENTAX KP to exacting environmental tests at temperatures as low as -10°C, and gathered a vast amount of data on operational precision, response and stability, as well as fluctuations in battery voltage. As the result, it assures solid, trouble-free operation when recording valuable scenes.

DR II (Dust Removal II) Mechanism:
By applying ultrasonic vibrations generated by a piezoelectric element to the optical glass panel placed in front of the image sensor, this mechanism effectively removes dust particles clinging to the image sensor surface, and prevents annoying dust spots from appearing on captured images.

Outdoor-Friendly Monitor:
The PENTAX KP features an outdoor-friendly LCD monitor whose brightness level can be instantly adjusted to the desired level: brighter during outdoor shooting in sunshine, or dimmer during nightscape photography. Because the monitor settings are assigned to the Function dial as the default setting of the Smart Function, you can quickly set the desired brightness level with a single twist of the dial. This monitor also provides a Night Vision LCD Display function, which prevents eye strain or fatigue after they have become accustomed to a dark location during astronomical and nighttime photography. By assigning this function to the Fx1 button, you can instantly switch the display mode between normal display and Night Vision LCD Display with push button ease.

Outdoor-friendly LCD monitor: +2 Outdoor-friendly LCD monitor: -2 Night Vision LCD Display

Extra-Durable Shutter Unit:
The PENTAX KP's shutter unit has proven its exceptional durability by withstanding a total of 100,000 shutter release actions. It assures outstanding operational precision and exceptional dependability, which are required for extended shooting sessions and demanded by the most exacting photographers.

SR II In-Body, Five-Axis Shake Reduction Mechanism:
The PENTAX KP comes equipped with the innovative sensor-shift-type SR II (Shake Reduction II), which assures optimum compensation effect for all lenses. In addition to common camera shake caused by pitch and yaw, this five-axis mechanism also compensates for camera shake caused by horizontal and vertical shift (often generated in macro photography) and camera shake caused by roll, which is difficult to handle by lens-installed shake reduction mechanisms. Thanks to a wide compensation range of five shutter steps, it benefits a number of handheld applications, such as when using a telephoto lens or shooting in poorly-lit locations, to capture sharp, blur-free images.

Compatible with Panning Shots:
When taking a panning shot, the PENTAX KP detects the direction of the panning action, then controls the SR II mechanism to compensate for all other affecting vectors. It captures beautiful, high-resolution images both in normal shooting and panning photography, without requiring any switching operation.

Smart Function:
The PENTAX-original Smart Function lets you select the desired function using the Function dial, then choose the desired setting using the setting dial. This innovative, two-dial operation system greatly improves the camera's operability. In addition to four preset positions,* the Function dial also provides three custom positions (C1 to C3), to which you can assign the desired functions for instant, single-action switching.

Functions Assignable to C1 to C3 Positions:
ISO sensitivity; exposure compensation; bracketing (with a choice of bracketing steps); Custom Image (default setting for C1); AF mode; AF active area; focus peaking; program line; shutter mode selection; recorded pixels; AA-filter simulator (default setting for C2); grid display; LCD display options; image magnification; outdoor view setting (default setting for C3).

AF Customization:
With the PENTAX KP, you can customize an autofocus action setting depending on the subject. It lets you set the timing of autofocus action from such options as focus/release-priority and advance-speed-priority modes. In the AF hold mode, it provides a choice of three settings based on the duration of AF hold, from the moment the subject leaves the in-focus point to the restart of autofocus operation.

Auto Horizon Correction and Composition Adjustment:
By taking advantage of its SR mechanism, the PENTAX KP features a pair of advanced image-capture tools. The Auto Horizon Correction function rotates the image sensor to compensate for the camera's horizontal tilt based on the data collected by the digital level, making it useful in handheld shooting. The Composition Adjustment function makes minute adjustment to image composition with a horizontal/vertical shift or rotation of the image sensor. It comes in handy for Live View shooting using a tripod.

Astrotracer:
When the optional O-GPS1 GPS Unit is mounted, the PENTAX KP captures beautiful images of celestial bodies without the aid of an equatorial platform. Based on the data obtained by the GPS unit, it calculates the movement of celestial bodies with great accuracy, then shifts the image sensor in synchronization with this motion. Since it captures stars without a streaking effect even during extended exposures, you can record faint stars as point images.

Compatibility with GPS Unit and Electronic Compass:
With the optional O-GPS1 GPS Unit mounted, the PENTAX KP lets you attach Exif data to recorded images, including the location, direction and time of shooting using Universal Time Coordinated. It also features an Electronic Compass to display the direction the camera is facing (true direction after declination adjustment) on the LCD monitor, making it useful during shooting preparations before sunrise or for the accurate spotting of a target mountain in alpine photography.

Digital Level:
The PENTAX KP's Digital Level detects and displays the camera's horizontal and vertical tilt and swing, making it easy to accurately level the scene. During viewfinder shooting, it indicates the horizontal tilt on a bar scale, allowing you to confirm the horizontal alignment of the image without taking your eye from the subject.

Operation Control Lock Function:
By assigning the Operation Control Lock function to the Fx button, you can lock certain control buttons and dials to prevent accidental setting changes. The Type 1 mode prevents unwanted shift of exposure settings, while the Type 2 mode temporarily inactivates the operation of the four-way controller and OK and MENU buttons. This safety device lets you concentrate on the shooting by eliminating worries about unexpected operational errors.

Exchangeable Grips:
The PENTAX KP lets you replace its grip to accommodate a particular lens or suit your preferences in holding comfort or shooting style.

Control Button Customization:
The PENTAX KP provides three Fx buttons to which you can assign frequently used functions. You can also customize the function of the AF/AE-L button, or assign a different set of functions to the front and rear e-dials and/or the green button for each exposure mode.

SAFOX 11:
The PENTAX KP incorporates the high-performance SAFOX 11 AF sensor module in its autofocus system. This dependable module features a diffraction lens to effectively compensate for chromatic aberration and assure pinpoint focus on the subject, even under adverse conditions such as when shooting against backlight or photographing high-contrast subjects.

High-Speed AF Algorithm:
This latest autofocus algorithm assures a faster autofocusing speed than the one used in the conventional SAFOX 11 module. It lets you react more swiftly and effortlessly to unexpected shutter chances.

27-Point AF System (with 25 Cross-Type Sensors):
Featuring 27 sensor points across the image field, the PENTAX KP's sophisticated AF system not only captures the subject in sharp focus, but also automatically refocuses on a moving subject when it moves away from the initial point, with the help of neighboring points. Of the 27 points, 25 cross-type sensors are positioned in the middle to assure high-precision autofocus operation for all types of subjects.

f/2.8 Luminance Flux Linear AF Sensors:
Three center sensors -- one in the middle and two others positioned above and below it -- are designed to detect the luminance flux of an F2.8 lens for high-precision autofocusing. When using a very fast lens with a maximum aperture of larger than F2.8, these sensors assure focusing accuracy better than that of other sensors (designed for a F5.6 luminance flux).

AF Area Selection:
The PENTAX KP lets you select the AF area and set it to the desired position in the image field, based on your application or subject. It provides a choice of AF modes: Auto (27 points), Zone Select (nine points), Select (a randomly selected single point), or Spot (the center point). It also features a select-area expansion mode to assist in the shooting of moving subjects.

Zone Select:
This mode lets you select a set of nine points forming a square zone, which then can be shifted to the desired position by moving the center point. It detects a subject located within this zone, captures it in pinpoint focus, and even tracks its movement -- all automatically.

Select-Area Expansion:
When you select one of the 27 sensor points, this function captures the subject in sharp focus using that point, with the help of the PENTAX Real-time Scene Analysis System. When the subject moves away, this system automatically tracks that movement and refocuses on the subject with the help of neighboring points. It provides a choice of expansion area from eight, 24 or 26 points.

Scene Analyze AUTO:
Supported by the PENTAX Real-time Scene Analysis System, this mode automatically optimizes exposure settings, then selects the most appropriate finishing touch for each subject. When using the optical viewfinder, the system is assisted by an algorithm developed through the use of deep learning artificial intelligence technology to perform more complete scene assessment. Simply by setting the camera's mode dial to AUTO (Scene Analyze AUTO), you are assured of the best finishing touch for each image.

Auto Tracking:
Working with the PENTAX Real-time Scene Analysis System, this function accurately detects the subject's motion based on various factors including color and speed, then keeps pinpoint focus on the subject throughout the imaging process by automatically shifting the in-focus point.

PENTAX Real-Time Scene Analysis System:
Working with the PRIME IV imaging engine and the approximately 86,000-pixel RGB light-metering sensor, this system features an advanced image detection algorithm developed by adopting a breakthrough artificial intelligence technology called deep learning. Based on factors such as brightness distribution in the image field and the subject's shape, color and motion, it performs in-depth analysis of each individual scene, and selects the most appropriate finishing touch for a given scene or subject. It also works in tandem with other functions to optimize the accuracy and performance of the camera's auto-exposure and autofocus systems.

Approximately 86,000-Pixel RGB Light-Metering Sensor:
The PENTAX KP features an RGB light-metering sensor with approximately 86,000 pixels, which can detect the subject's shape, color and motion with great accuracy to obtain a large volume of image data, then feed it to the PENTAX Real-time Scene Analysis System for extra-accurate scene assessment.

Multi-Mode AE System:
In addition to the conventional Av (Aperture-priority) and Tv (Shutter-priority) modes, the PENTAX KP provides PENTAX-original auto-exposure modes that let you express the subject's motion and the depth of field in the way you want. By setting the Smart Function to the ISO mode, you can flexibly control three primary exposure parameters -- aperture, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity - using the front and rear e-dials and the setting dial.

P (Hyper Program Mode):
This mode lets you set the desired aperture and/or shutter speed using the e-dials, while retaining the proper exposure level. This eliminates the need for switching the mode dial to the Tv or Av position to achieve the desired visual effect, such as the rendering of subject motion or the depth of field.

M (Hyper Manual Mode):
After setting the proper exposure level with a push of the green button, you can adjust the exposure to the desired level using the e-dials. This is a much faster and easier way to obtain the desired exposure than manually setting each exposure parameter while checking the exposure bar scale. By activating the AE-lock function, you can even shift aperture and/or shutter-speed settings while retaining the initial exposure level.

Sv (Sensitivity-Priority Mode):
The camera automatically selects a combination of aperture and shutter speed settings to obtain the proper exposure level, in relation to the user-selected ISO sensitivity.

TAv (Shutter-Speed/Aperture-Priority Mode):
The camera automatically selects the ISO sensitivity to obtain the proper exposure level, in relation to the user-selected aperture and shutter speed settings.

B (Bulb Mode):
This mode allows you to set any desired exposure duration. It also provides a Bulb Timer function to set the desired exposure time from 10 seconds to 20 minutes. This adds versatility and flexibility to bulb shooting.

Automatic Sensitivity Setting:
In the ISO AUTO mode, you can choose the upper and lower limits of the sensitivity range. It also allows single-action setting of the slowest shutter speed, allowing you to make more minute sensitivity adjustment for difficult scenes that would be prone to camera or subject shake.

±5EV Exposure Compensation:
Since the PENTAX KP provides an extra-wide exposure compensation range of ±5EV (in still-image shooting), it allows you to capture extremely high- and low-key images without resorting to the manual exposure mode. It also comes in handy when capturing visual materials to compose an image with an HDR (High Dynamic Range) process, because its wide compensation range is very useful for shifting the exposure level of high-contrast scenes.

Depth-of-Field Bracketing and Motion Bracketing:
These new functions allow you to capture three different images of the same scene or subject with a single shutter release, without affecting the overall exposure level. Since they don't require time-consuming manual operation to shift exposure settings, you can concentrate on a shutter chance and image composition.

Depth-of-Field Bracketing:
This function continuously captures three images with different depths of field by automatically raising or lowering the aperture setting in steps.

1/4 sec. 1/30 sec. 1/250 sec.

Electronically Controlled Shutter Unit:
The PENTAX KP provides a choice of mechanical and electronic shutter modes. In the electronic shutter mode, the shutter unit produces very little noise and vibration during shutter-curtain operation, making it ideal for shooting in locations where silence is required. This mode also provides a top shutter speed of 1/24000 second, making it handy when you want to use an open aperture in bright, sunny locations. In Live View or mirror lock-up shooting, it provides even quieter, lower-vibration operation.

High-Speed Continuous Shooting:
The PENTAX KP provides high-speed continuous shooting at a top speed of approximately seven images per second. It also lets you choose a speed of approximately 0.8 or three images per second, allowing you to select the speed that best suits the movement of your subject.

Wireless P-TTL Auto Flash:
The PENTAX KP features a built-in flash unit with a guide number of approximately six (at ISO 100/m). Using this flash unit or a dedicated accessory flash unit* mounted on the camera's hot shoe as a controller, you can control the timing of flash discharge and adjust the illumination level from a distance. This simplifies complicated flash applications such as a multi-flash setup, while creating a true-to-life sense of depth and well-defined shadows.

IMAGE Transmitter 2 Compatibility:
By connecting the PENTAX KP via USB to a personal computer equipped with the IMAGE Transmitter 2 tethering software, you can adjust the camera's exposure settings, release its shutter while observing a Live View image, and confirm captured images on your computer. You can even program the system to automatically transmit captured images to your computer and save them in its storage for time-efficient operation.

Clarity Control:
This function is very effective in recreating the glossy texture of metals, or the transparency of a clear sky or splashing water. Using the latest image-processing technologies, it lets you adjust the smoothness of the subject's texture and the image's clarity to the desired level in nine steps (between -4 and +4).

CLARITY CONTROL -4 CLARITY CONTROL +4

Skin Tone Correction:
This function automatically locates the subject's face and detects its skin area, then recreates a natural texture and healthy tone by adjusting the imaging parameters affecting the skin's smoothness and texture. It provides a choice of two visual effects: Type 1 to adjust the color and brightness; and Type 2 to add the correction of texture.

Custom Image:
The PENTAX KP's Custom Image function provides 13 distinctive modes to apply your preferred finishing touch to a captured image, based on your subject or creative intentions. In the Auto Select mode, this function activates the PENTAX Real-time Scene Analysis System to assess each image, then automatically selects the best mode for a given scene or subject. Even when you come across unexpected shutter chances, it assures the optimum result for each image simply by releasing the shutter.

NATURAL VIBRANT MUTED
BLEACH BYPASS MONOTONE CROSS PROCESSING

HDR (High Dynamic Range):
This function delivers an image similar to the one detected by the naked eye, even when you're dealing with extremely high-contrast scenes. It captures three images at different exposure levels and synthesizes them into a single composite image, while minimizing white-washed highlights and pitch-black shadows. In addition to the Auto and Advanced modes, it provides a choice of the effect's intensity (Type 1, 2 and 3) and a range of exposure shifts (±1 EV, ±2 EV and ±3 EV). It also features the Automatic Position Adjustment function to correct for misalignment of image composition of the three images, making it easier to use the HDR function in handheld shooting. Since the synthesized image can be saved on the camera as a RAW-format file, you can redevelop it later by using an in-body RAW-data development process to create a more satisfying photographic work.

HDR TYPE 3 HDR AUTO HDR ADVANCED

White Balance Control:
The PENTAX KP provides an array of white balance modes to deal with various light sources, including the advanced Multi-Pattern Auto White Balance mode, which divides the image field into small segments and applies the best white balance mode to each segment. Whether it's a scene with major color temperature discrepancies between the highlights and shadows, or a location with mixed light sources, this advanced mode assures lively, true-to-life color reproduction.

CTE (Color Temperature Enhancement):
In contrast to the standard Auto White Balance mode, which is designed to suppress the effect of a light source's color on the color reproduction of the captured image, this PENTAX-original mode automatically adjusts the white balance setting to emphasize the image's dominant color. It is useful in dramatizing sunrise and sunset scenes, or fresh green leaves in the spring.

AUTO WHITE BALANCE MODE COLOR TEMPERATURE ENHANCEMENT

Digital Filters:
The PENTAX KP provides a choice of nine filters during shooting, and 21 filters during playback, to create unique visual effects on your images. You can apply as many as 20 filters to a single image to create a distinctive, personalized work of art.

SHADING INVERT COLOR

Multiple Exposure:
This function creates a single composite image from two to 2,000 images, with a choice of three synthesis modes: average, additive and comparative brightness. During Live View shooting, it displays a translucent image of the already captured images on the camera's LCD monitor, allowing you to make precise alignment of the selected images.

Average:
This mode synthesizes an image by averaging the exposure level of all selected images, allowing you to automatically create a normal-exposure image without adjusting the exposure level of the individual images.

Additive:
This mode synthesizes an image by adding the exposure level of all selected images. For instance, by adjusting the exposure level of each image, you can clearly emphasize the brightness difference in the resulting image.

Comparative Brightness:
This mode compares the exposure level of all selected images, then synthesizes an image by selecting their highlight areas only. It is useful in overlaying images of such subjects as the moon, fireworks and illuminated buildings.

Interval Shooting:
This function is useful for recording the subject's change over a long period of time, as it automatically captures a sequence of images at an interval selected by the user. You can choose an interval duration of less than two seconds to 24 hours, the number of images from two to 2,000, and even the starting time of interval shooting operation.

Interval Composite:
This mode produces a single composite image by overlaying a series of images automatically captured at a fixed interval. As with the multiple exposure function, it provides a choice of three synthesis modes (average, additive and comparative brightness). It also allows you to save already captured images, even in the middle of shooting.

ASTROTRACER Interval:
The ASTROTRACER function makes it easy to accurately track the movement of celestial bodies, without requiring an equatorial platform. The PENTAX KP features the new ASTROTRACER Interval mode for easy capture of astronomical images.

4K-Resolution Interval Movie:
This mode records still images of a slowly changing subject at a fixed interval, then synthesizes them into a single movie file. You can play back the high-quality, 4K-resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) movie file, as if fast-forwarding it through time on the camera's monitor.

Star Stream Movie:
This mode records star traces or illuminations in a 4K-resolution movie file. By combining the mode with the camera's fade-out function, you can create an amazing movie with a dramatic effect of streaking light sources.

Movie Recording:
The PENTAX KP captures high-resolution Full HD movie clips by taking full advantage of its lens interchangeability and large image sensor. During movie recording, you can use the Continuous AF (AF.C) mode, or take advantage of such advanced features as aperture control function, SR mechanism, and creative image-capture tools. You can even record stereo sound with the built-in microphone and an external microphone, and adjust the audio level.
