Charles DOYARD
Doyard House, the story of a family
“This
is my great grandfather, Maurice Doyard, born into a family of wine
growers, who bought after the First World War a wine Estate in Vertus.
In 1927, he started the selling of his Champagne wines as a Récoltant
Manipulant.
Then, he going to become the Chair of the Winegrowers
’Union and of the CIVC (the Interprofessional Committee for Champagne
wines), of which he was the founding member with Mister DE VOGUE (Moet
& Chandon House) in 1941.
Involved and passionate of his region, he was closely related of the Champagne history.
This
vocation, this rigor and this qualitative research have been passed on
from generation to generation. I am now the fourth generation of the
Doyard Family after my great grandfather, Maurice, my grandfather Robert
and my father Yannick.
Our family Estate represents more than 10
hectares of vineyard in 1er and Grand Crus in Vertus, Oger, Avize, le
Mesnil sur Oger, Cramant and Ay.
My aim is to maintain this tradition and offer, as my elders, an authentic and prestigious range of Champagne wines.”
Charles DOYARD.
