Instructions:

• 4-6g per 250ml water (6g will be very tough)
• Mix well with water, boil and let stand.

Fungi Supply Agar Agar is 100% pure food grade.  Agar is made from an algae referred to as red seaweed, it is a binding agent used in laboratory culturing media.  Is is also used by vegetarians as a replacement for gelatin. To create nutrient agar for tissue culture or bacterial study, mix equal parts agar with light DME (dehydrated malt extract).
