This is a classic 1988  Steve Vai Jem 777 DY, bought this beauty with my first two paychecks in 1989.

The guitar has never left my home and never been on gigs. The guitar has been recently professionally calibrated and setup with new NY/XL 9’s strings at my local guitar shop “Rainbow Guitars”. I have various guitars but this one plays so smooth and age has made it even better sounding than any of my high end new guitars; it is ready to play right out of the case no work needed what so ever. It does have a very small chip in the front near the cable input and also has small hairline cracks on each of the sides of the body pockets were the neck joins the body, I have seen that this is very common on these aged beauties but does not affect playability, sustain or quality of sound on this masterpiece (see pictures).
