That's why we have developed this state-of-the-art solar panel made of back-contact solar cells - the newest generation of solar cells which have a significantly higher efficiency compared to standard solar cells (which means they extract more sunlight energy from the same area). The back-contact solar cells used in this solar panel have an unparalleled efficiency of up to 25%, which makes this the smallest and most efficient 130W flexible solar panel commercially available in the world. The solar cells used in this panel have been manufactured by SunPower - one of the largest US solar manufacturers, using the newest production equipment and cutting edge technology.

This 130W flexible solar panel is made of strong ETFE material which has a longer service life compared to standard semi-flexible solar panels. As a result, these particular flexible solar panels are extremely robust and less prone to cracking , delamination and corrosion. The lightly textured coating of this panel creates an anti-reflective surface which allows the panel to absorb a far greater amount of light, thereby increasing efficiency. ETFE material has long been used in applications where durability and high-temperature resistance is required, such as in the Eden Project, Cornwall.

This high efficiency, flexible waterproof 130W monocrystalline solar panel is perfect for permanent outdoor use to provide free electricity for charging 12V batteries to power various applications, such as in a motorhome, caravan, camper, boat, or for solar lighting systems, off-grid and back up solar power systems, and complete household solar power systems. The panel can also be used to provide direct power supply for applications not sensitive to changes in input voltage / current (e.g. electric motors or pumps) and for various grid-tie applications.

The back-contact solar cells with an efficiency up to 25% make this panel ideal for applications where space is restricted, or where there are obstructions on the roof.

The panel is fitted with 2 x 0.9m of cable specially designed for solar panels to carry high currents with negligible power loss (4mm cross section). The cable comes with waterproof MC4 connectors which can be used for easy connectivity to your existing system, for linking several panels together or for connecting a 4mm extension cable.

This flexible solar panel is normally fitted to a roof using a suitable sealant / adhesive (not included). It can also be screwed or bolted to the roof, by gently drilling holes into the corners and sides of the solar panel (where there are gaps between solar cells).

Please note: We recommend purchasing a waterproof cable entry gland to feed the solar cables through to the inside of the vehicle / building / below deck and ensure that everything is fully sealed and watertight.

Delivery:

In the unlikely event of any damage in transit, please report it to us immediately by email or phone, but in any case no later than 7 days after receipt of the item. To enable us to deal with the courier efficiently, we may ask for some additional details, e.g. photographs of the damage and packaging.

Returns:

  • If you change your mind within the first 30 days of receipt of the item, we will be happy to accept it back and refund your payment. You will need to notify us via email / phone within 30 days of receipt that you intend to return the item, request the return address and send the item back within a further 14 days at your cost. To be eligible for a full refund, the item must be new, unused, undamaged and correctly packaged. Please ensure that we receive the item in its brand new, original condition, i.e. take reasonable care to wrap and protect it on the way back to us.

Warranty:

  • This product is covered by a 1 year workmanship warranty. Solar cells are guaranteed to produce at least 90% of nominal power in 10 years and 80% of nominal power in 25 years.
