Up for sale is this 100% Original recently serviced and rare genuine Certina DS-2 Super PH 1000M with a gorgeous yellow dial. This cult classic vintage diver dates back to the early 1970's. The overall condition of the watch is excellent. As a bonus, it will come mounted on a vintage #52077 Isofrane dive strap.
Case & Caseback: 44mm wide (not including crown) x 48mm long x 18mm thick C-shaped stainless steel case with volcano-style bezel and minor hairline scratches. The top of the case has the original brushed finish and polished sides. The case has not been polished or restored in any way. The screw in water-resistant caseback is very clean with the original spiral machining still present. The case shows no signs of corrosion.
Dial & Hands: Original Mint condition deep yellow dial with applied luminous-filled markers, The dial shows no marks, blemishes or flaking and looks factory fresh. The Original Mint hands with original aged luminous material glows briefly after light exposure.
Crown: Original signed semi-recessed crown screws down tightly to the case and pulls out to the winding and non-hacking time-set positions.
Crystal: Original Mint condition mineral crystal is free of scratches or marks and is in perfect condition.
Bezel: Original thick ratcheting bi-directional rotating bezel is tight and clean with sharp well defined clicks. The original black acrylic inlay shows little to no wear and is in excellent condition.
Movement: 28-jewel in-house Certina automatic caliber 25-651 with date complication was serviced last week and is running strong. The movement has a true slow-set date and can be set by advancing through a full 24-hour rotation or advancing the hands back and forth from 11 o'clock to 12 o'clock midnight.
Strap: Certina DS-2 will come on a period correct vintage black genuine Isofrane rubber dive strap (ref. 52077).
