About the product components:
GasTapper Standard is the alternative to the GasTapper Pro (original GasTapper $139.00). It has an an alternate fuel pump that performs well. It comes with (2) 8' fuel lines and a 6' modern car adapter line for a total of 22' of fuel line, 15 feet of electric cord with an auto cigarette lighter plug end and LED power indicator.
GasTapper incorporates a
high quality fuel pump designed for automotive
applications. This pump can dry siphon as well as lift fuel a minimum of 6' the suction
side and then push another 6' on the output side for a total lift of
over 12 feet.
GasTapper utilizes Fuel Flex 65® hoses (outlasts conventional vinyl hoses 10X), 18 AWG cord
and a plastic spring loaded nozzle. The box container is top quality 3/16th thick
with sealing gasket to prevent fumes from escaping so it's safe to store in
your trunk. Fuel transfer rate is typically .5 to .6 gallons per minute which is the same as the Pro model. Rate can be higher or lower depending on if you are using the 1/4 inch modern car adapter as well as lift height. The key difference between the Standard model and the Pro model is pump quality. This pump is fine for individual use where the Pro pump is designed for more rugged ongoing daily or commercial use. The Pro pump is made in the USA and built for automotive and aviation use. It is one of the most durable pumps available.
Applications:
Transfer gas to or remove old gas from lawn mowers, tractors, generators, boats, Jet Ski's without getting a mouthful. Ideal for automotive use when you need to empty a fuel tank.

GasTapper components purchased separately total $119.00. An example is the automotive fuel pump which retails for over $50, the Pelican® like case which retails at $28 or more and is fume proof. Additionally connections at the 12V plug and inline switch are hand soldered.
We've seen and tested all the other items out there from name brand $3 siphons to hand crank pumps that look like a gas nozzle. They are very poorly made and in many cases they did not work at all. Transfers fuel at 32 gallons per hour with the 3/8 OD line and 28 gallons per hour with the 1/4 inch OD modern car adapter hose. This is the limit of this narrow diameter hose.
