This is a 1665 readable indenture on vellum from the 17th century... from the time of King Charles II of England...it is to do with land at Seacroft in the County of York... its near Leeds .. the names are JOHN EAMONSON to William WRIGHT ... and it cost £6 .... 13 shillings and 4 pence ..it has a date of 2nd July 1665... and has various other peoples names and their signatures on the back.. some are not signatures just their marks..such as THOMAS DRAYTON - MARTIN KNOWLES - Wm DIXON - Thomas ? ..... it has a large red WAX SEAL hung from the bottom.. this is an ANCHOR with a LOVE HEART in it.
It has writing on both sides and has been folded.. has some holes on the fold centres as usual....when folded its 8 x 4 inch ... when open its 20 x 17 inch.

Ideal for anyone into family history or if you are related to the area.

  • If you return the item because you've changed your mind, and  there is no error in the description, return postage will not be refunded.

 

  • UK BUYERS I accept CHEQUES in UK Sterling, PAYPAL or Cheque payments will incurr a DELAY in despatch, of 6 working days to clear. 

 

  • INTERNATIONAL BUYERS I will accept Paypal payments.
