They will not flatten overtime as it's made of true one piece 100% memory foam, not mixed or layered memory foam like many others. It's similar to therapeutic foam found in high end mattress store. The bed comes with 3 layers of covers: waterproof internal liner, external Gray Suede zipper cover and super soft fleece waterproof dog blanket in cream color. Pets would love to sleep on super soft fleece dog blanket in cold weather. Waterproof dog blanket is attached on the top of suede cover with velcro. We recommend to detach it in hot weather . It can be used independently when detached. So you get two products in one package. All covers are machine washable and dry-able. Suede cover in gray and internal liner can be easily attached or detached with durable L shaped zipper.
