This listing is for Super Model Jim Prentice Electric Football. The Electric Game Company, Holyoke, Mass. produced this game and amazingly it still works and in pretty nice condition with bright colors and functioning buttons.

Frankly, I can't find a thing about this model online or Ebay. Malloy's American Games guide show a football release of EGC's 1930's releases along with Electric Baseball which was their first. (released in 1934 I think).

I read up on Prentice and he apparently assembled several sturdy models himself so may this was one of this early prototypes? Usually, a game search with Boardgamegeek or some other Google search will show me what I have, but not with this one. (Maybe you will do better.) It does say model 103, U.S. Pat. App. For., so maybe they did release some of these.

I measured the length as 22 inches so this is longer than the many of the other EGC's electric games. There is a one sheet instruction sheet which is undated. Colors are pretty bright and cardboard shield end pieces are in good shape. Sturdy wooden edges are all around and screwed in with philips head screws. I took off one side because the spinning play rotor had slipped inside so I set it back in place. It was pretty clean underneath. I got many of the lights to come on when pressing metal buttons, and the center play rotor gets spinning pretty hard and sort of vibrates the metal field like the more modern Tudor games. A couple of the buttons I had to wiggle or press down harder to make contact so might be a couple of contacts a bit loose. Boxes are stained quite a bit and bottom is stapled on corners.

So if you are a collector of early electric games...here apparently is a rare one for you!
