IF you break the seal on a product that lists on the box "good for 12 months after" or 18 months etc (even if the product lists expires in 2020) that product, once the seal is broken in 2015 would be expired in 2016, even though the stated date was different - so really breaking the seal starts the "real" expiration period. FDA requires that products with spf have an expiration date listed BUT notice on the back of boxes or package label the second symbol?
