Birch coat Aslaug

Our Viking Birka coat Aslaug is an interpretation based on finds from a woman's grave in Birka (Sweden). Since there are no complete finds, the mantle shapes are only guesswork. The long-sleeved coat made from our wool fabric goes down to about the calf and has neither buttons nor loops. Corresponding finds suggest that it was closed with a fibula, for example our Adil fibula, on a tapering edge at chest height, but it can also be worn and strapped like an overgarment.
