 Striking Out is an Irish television legal drama series, broadcast on RTÉ, that first aired on 1 January 2017. Produced by Bl!nder F!lms for RTÉ Television, Striking Out stars Amy Huberman as Dublin-based solicitor Tara Rafferty, who is currently working for a fledgling legal firm. Filmed in Dublin and Wicklow, the first series, comprising four episodes, was broadcast during January 2017, to critical acclaim. Subsequently, the series has been sold to the United States, where it made its North American debut on Acorn TV on 17 March 2017. Internationally, the series has been distributed by DCD Rights and Acorn Media Enterprises.


S1:
When Dublin-based solicitor Tara Rafferty (Amy Huberman, The Clinic) discovers that her fiancé and fellow solicitor, Eric (Rory Keenan, War & Peace), has been cheating on her with a colleague, she breaks up with him, quits her job at the prestigious law firm where they worked together, and begins accepting clients out of a makeshift office in the back of a café.

With the help of Ray (Emmet Byrne, Red Rock) her street-smart client-turned-assistant, private detective Meg Riley (Fiona O'Shaughnessy, Utopia), and friend and mentor Senior Counsel Vincent Pike (Neil Morrissey, Line of Duty), Tara takes on a series of cases that often pit her against her former colleagues and the influential families of the legal establishment she is trying to leave behind.


S2:
As the hit Irish legal drama returns, solicitor Tara Rafferty (Amy Huberman, The Clinic) is embattled but not beaten. She has built a new life for herself after leaving her cheating fiancé, Eric (Rory Keenan, War & Peace), and the high-powered law firm where they both worked.

But with one of her employees betraying her and another in jail, she struggles to keep her fledgling practice afloat. Convinced that her former boss Eric s scheming father is behind it all, Tara decides to strike back. To pay the bills, Tara takes on clients whose legal problems range from deportation, to divorce from a bigamist, to a lawsuit against a convent. As she frequently faces off against Eric and her former colleagues in court, Tara's mentor Vincent (Neil Morrissey, Line of Duty) leads a high-level corruption inquiry that could endanger them both.

The stellar cast also features Emmet Byrne (Burning Wishes), Fiona O'Shaughnessy (Utopia), and Maria Doyle Kennedy (The Commitments) as a formidable solicitor.

1. Shipping time:
If your item is to be sent to/from an International destination your delivery tends to take about 2-4 weeks.

If you have not received your goods at close of business approx. 6-8 weeks after shipping (see date quoted by post office after which we can lodge a complaint in delivery estimate email), please get back to me ASAP so I can chase it up for you.

 NB: DVDs that are sold as Region 2/4 (or 1/4) are dual layered. The packaging often only lists Region 2 (or Region 1) but these DVDs should be playable on all Region 4 DVD players. But may not play on devices such as X-Box, PC's. Mac's and Playstations.
 


 

 

3. Handling time:

IMPORTANT DVD INFORMATION FOR MY US & CANADIAN CUSTOMERS:

As per the auction these are Europe Region 2 DVDs (US/Canada are Region 1) and you need a multi-regional (multi-zone) DVD player to play them!

BUT don't panic just yet :-)

Many DVD players are easy to unlock.
Let me know the brand and model number of your DVD player so I see if there is a simple unlock code for your player.

Many of my US/Canadian customers chose to play or copy these DVDs on a PC before playing them.

I also see there are many economical Multi Region DVD players on EBay ($35-50).
Just do a search if you wish.

It seems a shame to let go of this great DVD set.
