This is an antique solid 9ct yellow gold medal PRESENTED by MESSRS J. PHILLIPS at the The Universal Cookery & Food Association's Exhibition in 1925.
It comes in its original box which is also named on the very top in gilt writing.
The medal is made of 9ct gold and is fully hallmarked for
Birmingham, 1925 with a 375 mark and maker's mark JAR.
The medal has faint J A RESTALL medallists name below the picture to the front.
Around the medal edge it is engraved with

"Presented By Messrs J. Phillips".
It would be interesting to know who Messrs J. Phillips were.

It is in excellent collectable condition ...most of these medals will have been Melted down over the years from their skint owners or relations as they were passed down the families.
No damage to the metalware but there are a few scuffs on the outside of the box.
The medal measures approx. 33mm in diameter.
It weighs approx. 14.1g.
It is far too good to be scrapped.
