Born in Tamil Nadu, he is the recipient of Tamil Nadu State Lalit Kala Academy Award, Chennai; AIFACS Award, New Delhi, and Kalai Chemmal Award, Chennai. He has participated in the Flood Relief exhibition, Tamil Nadu State Lalit Kala Academy to raise money for the victims. One of the participants in Cholamandal Artists’ Village exhibition sponsored by the UNICEF, New Delhi. He is also the recipient o the Victoria Technical Institute’s award. Created ‘40 artists of Madras’ organized by The British Council, Chennai.
