The Life of Riley Old Time Radio Shows
"Hello?...Yeah, yeah, this is Riley...No, no we can't come all the way over to your house on account of I'm saving gasoline. I tell you what you do. You walk over here and visit with us a while and then later I'll drive you home... G'bye now."

On April 12, 1941 listeners were first introduced to the comedic antics of William Bendix in the hit radio sitcom, The Life of Riley. The show was a hilarious series about the family life of Chester A. Riley, a blue collared aircraft factory worker during World War II. The series chronicles his life with wife Peg, two children, Junior and Babs and Peg's lecherous Uncle Baxter who refuses work to the free room and board he extorts from Riley for giving him a pint of blood two years ago.
Riley had a heart of gold, but with little common sense, he always seemed to make a mess of just about everything. Cleverly written and expertly acted, this show produced side-splitting situations sure to please the avid old time radio listener. A must for any collection!

The radio episodes on this disc are recorded as digital audio files commonly known as "MP3's" and require a computer or MP3 player (like your smartphone) to play them. The type of DVD referred to in this listing is a computer disc used to store and transport these files to you. We put many of our titles on DVD because they're able to store 7x the data as a CD and provide the most episodes for your dollar! Since this is a DVD, it will not play in a CD player. It requires a DVD-equipped computer or home DVD player capable of playing MP3s. The simplest way to see if your computer has a DVD drive, is to look for the DVD logo on the face of the drawer that slides out. If the DVD logo is not visible, you probably have a CD drive.
