• Safety advice: Please note the maximum weight capacity of the bike basket. You should allow plenty of time for your dog to get used to the basket before using it on your bicycle for the first time. It is also advisable for you to practice riding your bicycle with the basket attached, containing objects that add up to your dog’s weight, so that you can experience how the balance and steering of your bike will change with your dog on board. Hold your bike steady when you put your dog into the basket or take him out, and use a dog harness to keep your dog safe and to attach to the short lead in the basket. If you are using a basket with a wire mesh cover, you should always ensure that the wire mesh is firmly closed before setting off. You risk your bike overbalancing if you leave your bike unattended on a stand with your dog in the basket.
