Late 1900s antique Wool Pile Vegy Dye Avshar Camel Bag from Toros Mountain in SE of Turkey. This beautiful bag was meant to be used as a cereal bag for summer migration and once nomads pitched the tent they were used to open it up and lay down on the floor.

This group of bags were made off pure lambs wool and vegy dye some times with mixed goats hair. Nomads use to carry grains inside through migration. This exquisite antique camel bag was woven in 2 different weaving techniques: Soumak and Flat-Woven that are unique.

We meticulously washed and cleaned in our warehouse this fine Folk-Art for you to enjoy it many years.

It measures 2'9"×4'7" and ready to immediate use. It still has got its goats hair stripe on both side and pristine condition. It is decorated with beats and shells all around edges in order to make it more attractive and artistic.
