1910s Little Falls Felt Shoe Co Women’s Black Slippers with fur trim. They belonged to a woman who was born in 1824 and died between 1910 and 1920. She never married and lived in her brother’s house with 3 generations of the family who were Watermen and farmers. The slippers were found in her trunk of clothes.
They have a cloth tag in the right shoe and under the tongue is the size 7 and a stock number. The leather sole of these flats has a company stamp.
In 1905 the Little Falls Felt Shoe Co. was organized operated in the building of Sheard's Eagle Mills, at the southeast corner of West Main and Sixth Streets, Little Falls NY.
