Up for sale is a wonderful 1981 Gibson ES-335 Dot Reissue in the historically accurate Antique Natural Blonde finish. These early 80s Dot Reissue 335s are highly regarded by 335 players and Gibson lovers all around. What makes this guitar unique is that unlike 95% of the units of these that shipped with nickel hardware this guitar comes complete with original factory gold hardware that has tarnished just enough to give it a nice worn in look. Nice and chunky neck that I would describe as being somewhere between a modern 60s and 50s style. Perfect weight and very well balanced. The original ink-stamped Shaw pickups sound fantastic and really help this guitar come to life. Tone wise you can expect excellent bass response, clarity, and mids from this beauty as well as great overtones. Overall in very good condition with some buckle-wear, light play-wear, and some finish wear surrounding one of the F holes. The guitar has been professionally refretted and plekt by Mike Lull here in Seattle and is playing better than ever. Mike also installed a new bone nut (original included). This one is currently set up with a major upgrade owners of these guitars generally do, which is installing a set of 500K pots and a new jack (original pots and jack included). Comes complete with a non original hardshell case. Looking for a really cool natural blonde 335? Look no further!
