This is another item is from the Rambaut - Robson - Cator - Tuke - Lightowler related families I am currently selling. Some very interesting items from their vast collections.
This is an antique handmade miniature purse / coin case made from a sea shell - cleverly shaped and framed in white metal.....with a silver coin inside.
This was probably a later LOVE TOKEN but into an early miniature case.

The shell has had its dull exterior taken off in stripes so the mother of pearl is showing on the outside and inside, then had a silver metal edge and clasp put on and a small chain handle.
The coin inside is a 1918 silver 3d Threepence.
No maker's marks.
Sometimes you find sewing sets in these little shell purses.

It is in excellent collectable condition with some signs of age and use wear.
 No damage to the mother of pearl case, hinge etc. in good working condition.
The shell purse measures approx. 38mm x 28mm x 20mm.
Its 1 and half inch long x 1 inch tall x 3/4 inch deep... these inch measurements do not cover the metal attachments only the shell.

  • I accept returns within 14 days on all items after you get them - NOT 30 DAYS. Please ensure all items are sent back to me in the condition you received it in and returned in their original packing as sent.  If you are in any way unhappy with your item please ebay message me to arrange a return.  Please note if you or a third party tamper with, change or repair an item this will automatically NULL AND VOID my full return policy and returns will NOT be accepted. 

 

  • If you decide to return an item because you've changed your mind and there is no error in the description, return postage will not be refunded.

 

  • UK BUYERS I accept both PAYPAL and CHEQUE payments in UK £ Sterling. Please note: Cheque payments will incurr a DELAY in despatch, of 6 working days to clear through the bank. 

 

  • INTERNATIONAL BUYERS I accept Paypal payments.
