What is it and what is it for?

 

This is an add-on (Expansion Pack) for the Sims 3 PC/Mac game.

 

Note that this is for the Sims 3 and some problems have been reported with running these programs on newer operating systems and hardware. I can only guarantee that the disk(s) is/are as readable as when new. Make sure that you check that your system is OK to run it before you buy. My warranty doesn't cover the situation where it is serviceable, but doesn't run on your system.

 

 

What is included?

 

Each purchase is one copy of the Expansion Pack.

 

You get the original pack with the original DVD, the serial number and a small 4-page general insert with the serial number printed on it. This type of insert seems fairly general and does not identify the game.

Please note that, although the serial number (key) is included, I cannot guarantee that it will be able to be used. There are comments on the packs that indicate that it is a "one-time" key, and is not transferable. Against this, I am not sure that you need the serial number to actually play the game. It is possible that it is only necessary to get specific "add-ons". However, I'm not sure. Make sure that you understand the implications of buying a serial number that is not in a new pack, before you purchase. Of course, the ones I am selling are exactly the same as any second-hand ones you may buy. There is nothing different from any of them. If you're OK with buying second-hand, these are the same as any others that are listed.

 

I have other listings with other Expansion Packs and "Stuff" packs. In addition, if you are starting from scratch, you can buy the game itself.

 

I am offering combined postage on these packs. As an example, up to 2 of them can go into the one satchel (ie no extra shipping for the second one). Adding more (up to a total of 5) would cost a total of $12.50 shipping within Australia. After that, it would cost $14.50 for quite a few.

 

My photos usually show the complete contents of what is included in the auction. If you think something else that's not shown should be included, don't assume it is. Contact me via this site and ask before bidding.

  

Sometimes I have more than one of the same item and I only take a photo of one. This means that, while the photo is of an item the same as that in this sale, it may not be the actual one I send you. It will not be any inferior to the photo, and should be virtually identical.

 

 

Condition 

Cosmetic 

Cosmetically, this is in good condition. It's not new, so the DVD is not pristine and shiny. However, it doesn't have any obvious large scratches on it, and it's fairly clean. In addition, I've done a surface scan with Nero DiscSpeed, and it comes up 100% clean.

 

There may be remnants of labels on the pack.

 

Functional 

I'll give a 30-day DOA warranty. If it doesn't work 100% (except for any issues noted in this listing), I'll refund your money and pay for postage to return it. I can only offer this to buyers within Australia, but if an International buyer has a problem, I'm happy to negotiate.

 

Note my comments above about what is and isn't covered by the warranty.

  

Shipping

Postage costs can be combined on multiple items. Note that the eBay calculator for multiple purchases isn't very flexible. If you are planning to buy more than one item, contact me if you want a good postage estimate.

 

If using PayPal, the item must be sent with proof of postage as per PayPal requirements. This is included in all the postage options in the calculator for each listing.

 

For PayPal payments, the item(s) must be sent to the address in the PayPal notification email that I receive. If you want it sent somewhere other than your “default” address, you’ll need to change this on the way through the payment process.

This is a private sale, so no GST is involved.

 

 

General conditions

International buyers are responsible for any customs duty, etc. I'll describe the item and price accurately on the customs declaration. You'll also need to confirm, before you bid, that the item is permitted to be imported.

 

Due to some bad experiences, I have had to block bidders from a couple of countries. If you find yourself in this situation, and you're serious, contact me and, if your rating is OK, I'll make the appropriate arrangement so you can bid.

What do I expect from you?

 

If you buy the item, I expect you to contact me within 3 days and arrange to pay within 7 days. I need you to provide me with a correct address for me to send the item. When you get the item and you’re happy with it, I’d appreciate feedback on the eBay site.

 

What can you expect from me?

 

I value my eBay rating and I have every intention of providing good value for you. I recognize that you’ve only seen a photo and read my description of the stuff you’re buying. I’m sure there are odd cases where I have omitted to put in something that you may consider important but I’ve just forgotten or maybe didn’t realize was important. You’ll only find this out when you get the stuff.

 

If there is some unforeseen discrepancy between what you’ve expected and what you get, I’ll usually refund your money. If it’s obviously my fault, I’ll also refund your postage. If it’s worthwhile, I’ll also pay for you to send it back. Note that this only applies to “unforeseen discrepancies”, i.e. it doesn’t cover things that were in the item description, or could be seen in the photo.

 

I’ll leave feedback on the eBay site for you. If all goes as well as it nearly always does, it will be positive. If someone doesn’t pay I will use the eBay Unpaid Item process and, if it goes to completion without payment, you may receive an Unpaid item Strike which could affect your ability to buy stuff on eBay.

 

Shipping costs and details

 

The following applies unless I have specified shipping costs as being fixed (usually only within Australia). eBay will calculate the postage based on my measurements of weight and size of the parcel. This will be based on best estimates. Sometimes, when I get to the Post Office, they’ll charge me slightly more or less. If it’s more, I’ll wear it. If it’s less, I’ll offer you a refund if the difference makes this worthwhile (usually if it's above about $2).

 

I'll try to get the best pricing for postage (on your behalf) and that may sometimes mean that I need to slightly deface the packing (box, etc) of the item, for example by putting packing tape or an address label on it. If you want to keep the packing looking as pristine as possible (for example, if you plan to resell it, or give it as a gift), please tell me when you buy it and I'll pack it differently. Packing or postage costs may be slightly different in this case. Again, please ask first if this is likely to be a problem.
