Listed is ONE LUCAS BRAND...

                 ...  “ TOOTY-NOISE ** ”  HORN.

Post will auto-combine if you order a second one (or 3 or 4). Simply change the little quantity box to a 2 or 3 etc.

** BY tooty  I MEAN A GOOD SHARP SOUND THAT SUITS AN OLDER CAR… as opposed to a more splashy modern sound… hear on youtube. The terminal and diaphragm half is all steel, the bellows half is plastic... the two working together are what seems to give it the sound.  Support-bar is steel.

THERE IS A LOWISH TONE AND A HIGH TONE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN.  Tell me your choice on the frequency, tell me in a separate written message as Ebay seems to lose checkout notes and messages...

one HIGH,

one LOW,

or if you order 2 ...

2 LOW,  2 HIGH or ONE OF EACH.

THUS GIVING YOU MANY SETUPS…

I HAVE DONE A NEW YOUTUBE CLIP FOR THESE… SEE BELOW.  AS A "RULE-OF-THUMB" AND IF YOU'RE UNSURE, I USUALLY SAY HIGH TONE FOR AUSTRALIAN TYPE CARS (eg ford, valian, holden) AND LOW TONE FOR POMMY CARS eg Morrie, mini, a30, midget, sprite etc

Postage is FREE on second one.

They sound a lot better in reality than my poxy phone-video on the clip below, which i made yonks ago on an old brick-phone… and will probably sound even better again when connected to a car-body (like a tinny old speaker is crap on the bench, but better when suspended in the door etc), plus my battery is not really up to two at once as it is only a toy one.

Variables and stuff to watch out for (1) use the stand-off bar (2) Make sure nuts done up properly, & not loose (3) minor- think about position under the bonnet (4) minor- think about direction it points (5) two horns tends to give the sound more "body", but certainly not essential.

or “lucas car horn for sale”

Remember these are 5 amps each... not a huge amount but still need decent 10A+ wire, not speaker wire!!!

There is no need to use a relay… modern horns are far more efficient than old-school ones

These are not polarised… ie it makes no diff which way round you connect… one pos, one neg.

 Easy!!.

To look for items in my shop, the easiest way is to save any one of MY 1400 items in your watchlist... Then,  whenever you want to peruse my 1400 items... simply click on the hyperlink called “visit store” at the top right of this item.  That will take you to a page with my 35 store categories... which will allow you to narrow down what you’re after.

Plodding through the Ebay mire of the general search box... or the “see other items” hyperlink  is simply the way to insanity.

If you’re using Ebay’s useless mobile app, I’m sorry... I have no idea how you will find them… this app is a real shocker/compromise in quality and half the stuff is missing. Go to your PC is my advice.

SHOP-category examples “ALTERNATORS” or  "BRAKE"   or   “badges” or "TRAFFICATOR parts"   or "LIGHTS"   or   "AXLES"   or   "COOLING"  or “SWITCHES” etc etc
