Antique Art Nouveau Silver Plated Basket Circa 1854 – 1898

PGS (plated German Silver) was typical of “fancy” pieces imported to England by Albert Silber or his partner Fleming.  They were wholesalers who imported a large range of household items including silver plate.  In 1886 Fleming retired in 1898.  The firm was acquired by Faudal Phillips & Sons.
