- WARNINGS:
- All neodymium magnets are unsuitable for children; do not ingest.
- All neodymium magnets are brittle; do not allow these magnets to jump together or to an iron/steel surface - they will break, crack, chip or shatter.
- Do not attempt to flex, they will snap
These are ideal for making reed switches and also for DIY and MRO uses. If you need to use an adhesive, we recommend using something that will bind to metal and whatever surface you want to glue the magnet to.
The length of the magnet means that it very easy to TIP it to it's edge to remove it and, therefore, the pull and hold will feel significantly less than the calculation figures shown.
The pull is calculated using a mathematical formula and is, therefore, the theoretical maximum hold between one magnet and a mild steel plate. It does not take account of manufacturing tolerances, plating, plating thickness or variances in a mild steel plate. The vertical hold is based upon the calculated pull and is, therefore, only for guidance. Factors such as paint thickness, plasticised surfaces, movement and vibration are not taken into account.
