Here I have a Mid Century Wooden Calendar made in Western Germany
This is a Mertens Kunst creation
No. 5610

There is no information that I could find online for this piece.  But from what I did find, it appears he was a creator of children's wooden toys and decorations.  I believe the original purpose of this was a learning tool for children to learn how to read a calendar.

The back reads
(Left)
Made in Western Germany
 (Mid)
 Mertens Kunst
No. 5610
Kalender
Calendar
Calendrier
(Right)
Entwurf Eberhardt

This piece is in great condition except for one scratch on the front under Mai (May).  All the wheels turn freely to allow you to change the day of the week, month and number of day.  The months and days of the week are abbreviated in German.  Because this does not display the year it is a piece that can be used forever and would make a great addition to any Mid Century Modern decor.

If you have any info or have found any on this piece or its maker please send me a message.  I like to purchase items and research them so I know more about them and their history.

I work very hard to research and describe my items with the utmost accuracy, while bringing you the best deal I can.  With that being said I have a few rules I have to put in my auctions, because of so many unscrupulous people.
I am a very fair and reasonable seller and have been on ebay for 10 years and work hard to build a good reputation on here.

Questions are to be asked before purchasing or making an offer / bid on an item.  Do not purchase then ask questions.  I will do my best to give you an answer and be honest with the condition and description of the item for sale.

"As is" denotes that the seller is selling, and the buyer is buying an item in whatever condition it presently exists, and that the buyer is accepting the item "with all faults", whether or not immediately apparent or described. This is the classic "buyer beware" situation, where the careful buyer should take the time to examine the item before accepting it, or obtain expert advice.  This is where asking the seller a question will be helpful.

Returns
Refunds will only be given for items not as described only if the buyer asks a question about the item in question, specifically related to the condition of the item.  Or in the case the item is inaccurately described. Buyer pays all return shipping cost and must be sent back in my packaging.
If item was described as being sealed it must still be sealed not opened or used in any way.

If you do not understand any of my rules for the sale do not attempt to purchase.
