New Old Stock, boxed and factory sealed. These were manufactured to promote Braven's model 570 Bluetooth speaker, but we have successfully got them to play our own video. The SD card has five folders, labelled 1 through 5. We shot some video, using a smart phone, resized it to 720 x 480 pixels and saved it in MP4 format. We copied our video into those folders, after deleting the existing files and the machine played our video from each folder in turn, responding to the Start/Stop button, the Advance button and the volume controls. We also got it to play video in MPG format, but in that case it locked up at the end of the video, so we do not recommend using that format. The final picture shows the machine's error handling ability, displaying what happened when we gave it a video that was the wrong size.
The machine has a 7" (6.7" viewable) Innolux-Chimei LCD screen, a single board computer/PCBA with an AM7331 IC, sockets for power (AC adapter included), line in (short, 1/8" stereo cord included) and SD card (1GB SD card included). The Braven speaker does not have Bluetooth functionality and may be missing other functionality as well. We tested a couple and found that the line in jack would only work if the plug was positioned just right - this may be a common problem with this batch. Sold as-is, for you to repurpose.
