Antique Victorian Blue Enamelled Metal Hand Bell

This sweet small hand bell is of quite crude construction. It is constructed from some type of metal (probably a spelter mix) and appears to be of Eastern origins. The bell is enamelled in a royal blue with engraved floral decoration. We believe the item to date from the turn of the twentieth century, but the beaded clanger is a later replacement.

Condition: The bell is misshapen and does have some damage to the enamel in places. The metalwork has some tarnishing and surface corrosion. As is mentioned above we believe the clanger to be a later replacement.

The approx. measurements are as follows:

11.5cm high.          (Ref. #12163)
