ANTIQUE CHINESE SONG DYNASTY PORCELAIN HAPPY BUDDHA FIGURINES LONGQUAN WARE


Up for sale is an antique Chinese underglaze celadon porcelain happy Buddha possibly dating to Han Dynasty; longquan ware. No glaze on the Buddha's body, due to the age some paint peeled off from the body, the Buddha's clothes are very beautifully decorated with thick underglaze celadon.

38 cm (15 in) Height

 

Condition: 

Some of body paint peeled off, no chips, cracks, repairs, and restoration, good antique condition. There may be age commensurate wear, and expected small Firing / Manufacturing faults. (Please examine all photos carefully, as they are part of the condition report. Any material condition clearly visible in photographs is considered to have been disclosed and described.)

We do our best to disclose anything that will impact value and / or desirability. Ages and descriptions stated are our OPINIONS based on over many years experience in collecting antiques. You the buyer are ultimately responsible for agreeing or disagreeing with our opinions BEFORE placing a bid.

The seller reserves the right to cancel an auction and sale or void a transaction if the item becomes unavailable, damage, or has issues with customs declaration, or cannot be ship.

 

Payment:

Buyers must pay within 3 days of auction or the sale is void.

Buyers pay shipping costs and insurance is required. 

Most the items require handling fees. Handling fee is mostly for the purpose of purchasing insurance and safe packing material. For porcelain and fragile items, we will use double boxes with plenty of packing peanuts and bubble wraps to pack.

 

Shipping:

Please note that all shipping and insurance costs are estimates as the item is not packed until it has been sold. Insurance fee is not determined until after the purchase and will be added after the purchase. 

Our default domestic shipping method is USPS First Class Mail, (for small package only < 1lb) USPS Priority Mail, and UPS Ground. Our default international shipping method is USPS Priority Mail International or USPS Priority Mail Express International. Signature confirmation service required on items valued over $500, for USPS, it costs $2.90 and for UPS, it is $5.

Our domestic & international shipping rates are based on the size and weight of the item after it has been packed. We require that all items shipped internationally be mailed using a mail service providing tracking information as well as insurance.

Shipping Time: Items are generally shipped out within 1-2 Business Days from the receipt/ clearing of payment. Items shipped domestically should arrive in 1-5 business days. Items shipped internationally using USPS Express Mail International should arrive within 2 weeks; however, some packages may take up to 1 month to arrive (due to customs inspections).

We are happy to combine shipping/packing for buyers who purchase multiple items (when possible).

Customs:

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. We will not falsify customs declarations or mark an item as a "gift".

Customs: International shipments are occasionally held and inspected by Customs officials for a period of time. We are not responsible for covering the shipping and insurance costs on any item returned to us by international customs agents. 

Returned Packages: We are not responsible for any item returned to us as "undeliverable" if the address provided by the buyer matches the address printed on the shipping label. In this event, the buyer is required to provide an alternate shipping address and cover the additional shipping costs before the item will be shipped again.

Lost or Damage:

Lost or Damaged Items: Unfortunately, boxes are occasionally lost, or go missing during transit. In the event of loss or missing, buyer is required to notify the carrier so that a trace can be started, following their procedure, the insurance claim can usually be filed no sooner than one (1) month after the carrier has started their trace of the package. In case of item damaged, buyer agrees that get it in post office writing, and agree that providing all the required claim documentation. The buyer will be refunded only after the insurance claim has been completed.
