Conwy Kayak J Bars are designed to be mounted to your vehicles existing roof rack bars, acting as a cradle; they hold your kayak firmly and more securely in place. The universal design of these J bars are able to fit to most roof bars as well as aero bars up to 105 mm wide. They come complete with all fittings required to quickly and easily fit in minutes with no tools required. The bolts can be secured tightly and easily by hand.
Each J bar is fitted with rubber padding to protect and cushion your craft during transportation. 16 locking position to suit every kayak shape and size. When used together, this twin pack of J bars are designed to carry one kayak/canoe. Two sets can be used to carry two kayaks back-to-back on one roof (depending on roof size.) Each pair of J bars come with 2 heavy duty straps to secure the kayak to the bars and 2 tie-down ropes to steady the ends.

Alternatively, the roof pads are a low-profile solution to secure a kayak to your roof. Unlike solid J Bars, which require that a roof rack be fitted, these roof pads are a quick and easy way to transport a kayak or canoe. However, due to being less heavy duty than traditional bars, we do only suggest them for short or medium journeys. No tools are required and each set comes complete with all the attachments and straps necessary to attach the pads to your car’s roof and hold the load in place. No screwdrivers or allen keys are required. The bars can be fitted in minutes, using the detailed instructions which are included.
Please note that, since the bars are secured by passing through your car doors, the bars may start to drip inside if you are driving in rain. We would not recommend using the bars in heavy rain.
