This lovely yarn has the look of a single ply with very slight variations in thickness along the strand and a subtle fuzzy halo -- it's a blend of half wool, half acrylic, and is soft enough for garments and accessories worn next to the skin. Simple colors - super bargain! Depending on what kind of knitter you are (loose, average, tight) you could use this for light worsted, or worsted projects as Ice gives a wide range on the suggested needles 4 - 5 mm (slightly smaller needles that most aran yarns use!) which is US 6 - 8.
