Repair patch for John Deere mower decks designed and manufactured by Sunsdahls' Restoration Tooling, LLC. These patches are made to repair rust, holes and cracks in and around the spindle mounting areas of the deck as shown in the second picture. The first and third pictures show a patch bolted in position and ready to be welded to the underside of the deck. One patch will repair one spindle area. Design of patch fits all three spindles. Patches are CNC laser cut and die formed from 12 ga. mild steel hot rolled pickled in oil.
Patch is made to reinforce mower decks commonly used on 110, 112, 120, 140, and all 200 and 300 series LGT mowers manufactured from 1963 through 1987, with the exception of 50" deep decks in the 300 series! See note below. Patches are now available in two sizes. This listing is for a patch with an 8" radius and fits decks larger than 39". Look for our listing of a 6" radius patch for decks 38-39".
Note: This patch was not designed for a deep deck. A deep deck will have some strengthening ribs in the spindle area that are not on other decks. The patch would probably work, but the installer would need to relieve the patch in the rib area. Also, a mower deck depth can be measured on the underside. If the depth is more than 2 ¾”, it is a deep deck.
These mower decks are becoming more difficult to obtain. Instead of junking out a rusty or cracked mower deck, repair it with these patches.
