This is a beautiful ancient "Loving Cup" depicting men in combat. The Loving Cup is heavy and bronze with a beautiful green patina. The human figures actually jut out from the cup giving it a 3D look.  It is 4 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Circa 500 BC. It is believed the exquisite marble base is definitely original but re-secured with a bolt rather then glue to prevent its loss or damage in more recent times.
