Fenton MELON RIB #857 Velva Rose Stretch Glass 11" Rolled Rim Bowl 5255.  Peachy Pink Fine Quality Carnival Glass Bowl with Subtle Iridescent and velvet-like Satin Sheen.  As usual, no hallmark is seen, but is by FENTON Glass Company.  The rainbow sheen is subtle, not garish.  Comes from retired professor-couple who were big collectors of antique carnival glass in New York.

Size: 10-½” Diameter x 2-7/8” High. Weighs 2 lbs.

Has a Satin Finish, a semi-Flower / Jellyfish Form with Ribbed Decoration.  "Stretch" glass technique was done from ca.1915 thru mid-1930s, so it could be older than Depression or the same era, pre-1940.  Has four subtle pressed mold seams, and underneath has a fine mink-like texture that glistens under light.

Excellent condition, no chips, minor display patina.

In 1930s, Depression glass typically had no hallmark stamped, such as this.

Will be carefully packed, tracked and insured.
