This is a role-playing/text adventure game in which you play the role of Jonathan Harker. As you explore Dracula's mansion, you'll use text-based commands to open doors, manipulate objects, and even talk to Dracula himself. The game intentionally lacks color, with sepia tone graphics. That, along with appropriately creepy music, provides a dark, spooky atmosphere that really fits the theme. At times, it will be unclear how to proceed in the game, but it's crucial to examine every little detail that you come across. Some items may seem useless at first, but they can be used in conjunction with something else later on.
