Antique Victorian 18ct Gold Ruby & Diamond Ring c1880

A stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Ruby & Diamond set Five Stone Ring, which dates to 1880 (please study the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the
item's description).
This wonderful Antique Ring, which weighs 2.4 grams, is set centrally with a round Ruby flanked by an Old-cut Diamond and a smaller round Ruby to either side- all set in Square Settings. It is stamped with a Victorian Registration Lozenge inside the band, as shown, confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold and that it was made in 1880.
Overall, this Victorian ring is in great condition for a ring that is almost 135 years old with only wear as shown, commensurate with age. One of the smaller Rubies has been replaced historically but this doesn't detract from what is still a wonderful Antique Ruby & Diamond Ring.
The ring is sized at a UK Ring Size 'M 1/2', which equates to a US Ring Size '6 1/2' but it is currently fitted with two size reducers that make it around a UK Size 'L' however these are easily removed by a Jeweller - as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.e
it is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gauge
depending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring when
worn.
In summary, this is a stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Ruby & Diamond Five Stone Ring dating to 1880 - it is quite simply sublime.
