Edwardian 18ct Gold Sapphire & Diamond Ring c1910
UK Ring Size 'L', or US Ring Size '5 3/4'

A stunning Edwardian 18ct Gold Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring dating to c1910, which has a Circular Bezel set centrally with a Cushion Shaped Sapphire surrounded by Diamonds (please see the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item's description).

This wonderful Antique Ring, which weighs 2.8 grams, has a plain 'D' Shaped Shank that flattens to form Elliptical Shoulders supporting the fabulous Gem set Circular Bezel (diameter approx' 8.5mm). The ring is collet set to the centre with a beautiful Cornflower Blue Sapphire (approx' 3.0mm by 2.5mm) surrounded by a border of six Diamonds set into the textured bezel to create a ring that is simply breathtaking.

Typical of the Period this fine quality ring is stamped with a Maker's Mark 'R.L' and a Fineness Mark '18CT', confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold. Overall the ring is in great condition with only a couple of flea bites to the Sapphire visible when viewed with a Jeweller's Loupe.

The ring is sized as a UK Ring Size 'L', which equates to a US Ring Size '5 3/4' - as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.e it is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gauge depending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring when worn.

In summary, this is stunning Edwardian 18ct Gold Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring dating to c1910 - it is quite simply sublime.
