A stunning Edwardian 9ct Gold Heart Shaped Amethyst set Bangle dating to 1907. This beautiful Hinged Bangle is set with a gorgeous Heart Shaped Amethyst in an Art Nouveau Floral Decorated Setting in Raised Relief all expertly fashioned in 9ct Yellow Gold (please study the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item's description).
This wonderful Antique Bangle, which weighs 5.2 grams, has an internal circumference of 17.0cms and is stamped with a Maker's Mark 'MW', which I think is most likely to be the highly respected firm of Mappin & Webb. As shown the Bangle is fully hallmarked confirming that it is made from 9ct Golds and that it was assayed in Chester in 1907.
The fabulous Heart Shaped Amethyst set Decorated Panel is approx' 50.0mm long and at the point of the Amethyst Heart it is approx' 15.0mm high, while the underside of the Bangle is approx' 3.0mm wide.
Commensurate with age this beautiful Edwardian Bangle is in great condition. It has a good hinge and push-in clasp, which work perfectly and it is complete with it's Safety Chain. This stunning Bangle has no signs of damage or repair other than the loss of a leaf from one of the flower decorations (not really noticeable but just mentioning for complete descriptive accuracy).
In summary, this is a stunning Edwardian 9ct Gold Heart Shaped Amethyst set Bangle dating to 1907 - it is quite simply sublime.
