This wonderful Art Nouveau Holbein, which weighs 4.0 grams, has a centrally set Oval Amethyst as it's focal point, which is millegrain set and surrounded by Seed Pearls in beautifully crafted Gold Foliate Leaf Settings - all within an Art Nouveau Stylised Openwork 'Heart Shaped' Framework. It terminates with another Oval Amethyst similarly set in an Articulated Drop, which perfectly compliments the central stone and completes a Victorian Jewel that is just sublime.
Having been crafted as a Holbein this is such a versatile addition to any collection of fine Jewellery being capable of being worn as a Pendant, or as a Brooch - just as you desire. It only requires the addition of a chain to enable it to be worn as a Pendant.
Typical of the Period, this fine quality Art Nouveau Pendant/Brooch is stamped with a Fineness Mark '9ct' on the reverse, confirming that it is made from solid 9ct Gold. This beautiful 19th Century Amethyst & Pearl set Holbein has the following dimensions:
