This is a magnificent original 19th century Italian pencil on paper portrait drawing done by World famous Italian listed artist Pietro Aldi 1852-1888.

Signed on lower right by the artist. 

Aldi was a student of Mussini at the Academy of Sienna. He won several prizes and was living in Rome, occasionally visiting Venice. You can find his paintings in various museums and churches. 

It measures 5.50" by 7.75" and 13.35" by 15.40" framed.

It has a wonderful subject, detail, and workmanship.
