Selection of individual wood working chisels from a variety of manufacturers.

New and Unused , but these have been on shop display , and all chisels have some degree of surface tarnishing - please see individual photos. Most are also missing the rubber safety cap, otherwise intact. Some handles are scuffed.

A) Stanley Poundthrough : Yellow & Black Softgrip Handles { One 6mm Handle is slightly different { See Photos} } 6mm  : Most 24cm Overall length - The 6mm with slightly different handle is 26.5cm

B) Stanley Clear Poundthrough : Heavier duty Stanley Poundthrough Chisel : "Splitproof " style handle with letal cap and reinforcing bar which passes through the full length of the handle : 6mm : 24.5cm Overall length

 

C) Footprint Orange : More traditional style chisel with plastic handle : Not " Splitproof" . Not " Poundthrough" Less durable than the other chisels listed here, but still a quality product from Footprint Tools : 10mm : 23cm Overall length : Shorter style chisel

D) Footprint Blue  : More traditional style chisel with plastic handle : Not " Splitproof" . Not " Poundthrough" Less durable than the other chisels listed here, but still a quality product from Footprint Tools : 10mm or 13mm : 24.5cm Overall Length

E) Footprint Red : More traditional style chisel with plastic handle : Not " Splitproof" . Not " Poundthrough" Less durable than the other chisels listed here, but still a quality product from Footprint Tools : 10mm :25cm Overall length

F) Cabinetmaker : "Splitproof / Reinforced" style handle. Metal striking cap which extends a little way into the handle to help prevent splitting. More basic manufactured item , but still a good enough chisel for DIY use : 10mm or 13mm : 26cm Overall length

G) Richmond "Shatterproof" : Richmond Tools version / copy of the Marples Splitproof. Arguably not as good a quality , but still great value for money. : 6mm or 12mm : 25.5 cm Overall length

H) Unknown : Oddment which has no makers name on it ; Orange handle with grey soft grip panels. Steel reinforcing cap to help prevent splitting of handle : 6.5mm : 26cm Overall Length

I) HR Sheathed Chisels. More basic chisel with orange plastic/ black soft grip handle. Supplied with a plastic storage sheath with belt loop, and which has an integral sharpening stone to the rear. Available in 1/4" / 6mm and 1/2" / 12mm In unopened clam packaging, 1/2" /12mm or 3/4" / 19mm with sheath but no clam packaging. Overall length of chisel 26cm.

J) HR Unsheathed chisel : Basic quality chisel with orange plastic/ black softgrip handle. 6mm Overall length 27.5cm
