Description: The original playscript for the production of "Concubine Imperial" based the Maurice Collis novel, "The Motherly and Auspicious" concerning the life of the Empress Dowager Tzu Hsi. The play was performed at Nottingham Playhouse in 1959/60 season. The play appears never to have been published and we have not been able to locate another copy, even in the national copyright libraries. Rare. 

Bound in black card covers with the address of Eric Glass Ltd to the front cover. Measuring 11 inches by 8.5 inches. It is in very nice condition with a little wear and creasing to the edges, not affecting any text. Small dents to the front cover.
