This is a UK (+44) SIM card.

Ideal for those living in the UK, relocating to the UK or for short term visitors.

The SIM card has not been pre-activated and a number will only be assigned to the SIM card when you top-up or buy a monthly goodybag. You will need to activate it by topping up before you can receive calls and text messages. The minimum goodybag purchase is £6; the minimum airtime credit top up is £10.

If you sign up for a monthly goodybag, you do not have to sign up for a minimum term (though this is an option available) - you can turn off recurring payments for the one-month contracts so that you do not have to pay every month.

After activating, the SIM must be used at least once every 6 months to keep it active - this means either: topping up; sending a text message; making a phone call; using mobile data.

The SIM card can be activated and topped up online by following the link on the SIM card package.

You will receive the £5 bonus credit as part of the Giffgaff referral scheme when you activate by topping up. Please note that existing giffgaff members do not qualify for the referral bonus.

You do not need proof of ID to activate the SIM card.

The SIM card has free roaming in the EU and other selected destinations -- the SIM card should ideally be activated and used within the UK in order for its roaming feature to work correctly. If activated within the EU, the monthly packages (goodybags) will only work for a 14-day grace period, after which it will need to be used in the UK in order to carry on using the package. After the 14-day grace period, usage will drain your airtime credit. Additionally, you receive 63 days maximum usage on monthly packages for EU roaming within any 4-month period.

Free EU roaming is limited to 5GB per month, even if you purchase a larger data package.

This SIM card will work in some countries outside the EU too, but if you wish to send messages or make/receive phone calls, roaming charges may apply. If you are based outside Europe and want to use this SIM card outside Europe, please check with Giffgaff directly to make sure that the SIM card will work where you are before buying.

Orders of 1 or 2 sim cards are sent directly from Giffgaff - please note that there are sometimes issues with delivery addresses with the "/" symbol in them.

Please note that addresses cannot have numbers in the name field(!)

UK delivery may take up to 3 working days

International delivery usually takes around 10 working days (or longer depending on customs/postal delays). To some countries, delivery takes much longer than Ebay's estimated delivery time.

For orders of multiple sim cards, they may arrive in multiple packages and they may not arrive at the same time. The appearance of the packaging may vary.

Orders of more than 20 sim cards will always be sent using a tracked service.

International deliveries:

- Deliveries to BFPO addresses must select Royal Mail HM Forces Mail as the delivery option.

- Deliveries to China (People's Republic) are not tracked.

- Deliveries to Israel are currently incurring significant delays and there is no guarantee on delivery time due to the ongoing political conflict.

- Deliveries to Romania usually takes 3-4 weeks, regardless of eBay's estimated delivery time.

- Deliveries to United Arab Emirates (UAE) require a valid PO Box number in the address (UK couriers will not ship items without it, even though Emirates Post now delivers to physical addresses) and the recipient's phone number must be included in the address label.
