The antlers I collect and purchase always come from wild Rocky Mountain Elk that have naturally and ethically shed their antlers.  These free ranging animals live in the high rocky mountains of beautiful Colorado. Often they are picked up within a few hundred yards to a few hours drive from where I live.  After the antlers are collected, I wash them with water, cut to appropriate sizes and the sand the sharp edges down. 

Dogs love to get to the inner part of the antler and will keep them occupied for hours.  As with all pet chews, keep an eye on your dog when they chew antlers.  Dogs can sometimes get very excited and try and crack the antler apart when they should slowly try and grind them down over time. When your dogs chew the antler down to a size that they can swallow please take it away and start with a fresh one.
