This rustic earthy bowl belongs to the SILUR series of kitchen and household goods, produced by Gustavsberg, Sweden during the 1960s and designed by Stig Lindberg. It has a geometric pattern of black and tan on a brown earthenware background. It is unglazed outside and has a darker brown glaze on the inside. The roughness of the chamotte stonework matches its colours.

It is stamped underneath with no. 8, the SILUR and Gustavsberg logos, Stig L, Sweden.
