This is 1 of 4 Chinese Paintings on Silk purchased from an estate sale . The previous owner was a WWII Navy Pilot who after the war worked as a pilot for TWA and latter as an engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft until retirement. The estate had many items from the South Pacific,Asia, etc,as well as Military memorabilia, photos of aircraft, ships, etc. I assume these paintings were perhaps purchased during his travels with TWA,post WWII. 1950's-60's or so. Actual date/decade unknown. This painting in particular is 2 of 2 with Human Figures that have the same Mark at the bottom of the Calligraphy, and 1 of 3 that have the number 1986 stamped in a # box on back along with HS 25 written in under stamp box. They are loose, protected in plastic. they have a very slight curve to them from not be stored in something rigged. They measure 10" x 8 1/2". I am not a fabric or painting expert,so assume this is on silk as I see many similar for sale here on E-Bay and elsewhere that state "SILK". So please take note that this may or may not be Silk and that it does not affect my asking price either way. The backing is some kind of paper material. All else is as seen.  May combine ship with other items.
